Hiya! My name is Alexa and I started Avancena Designs with the goal of getting my creations out there in world and having those creations make someone's day! Everything thing from creating products from scratch or revamping thrift finds that will always have one thing in common; being kawaii!~
Now you may ask, why use "kawaii" instead of "cute"? Kawaii is more than the direct translation for cute in Japanese, it represents a cultural phenomenon! The core concept of Kawaii in Japan can describe anything from plushies, fashion, and even personality. Kawaii also evokes a deep emotional meaning than just the word "cute" ever could.
Fun Fact!
Sustainability is something that is super important to me. I hate when things go to waste so I always try to find ways to reduce, reuse, and make new! Whether that be from the thrifted items I make to my packaging, I try to find a way to make the least amount of waste without comprising quality!
Product Feature: Sock Plushies
When I learned that you could make plushies out of fuzzy socks I fell in love with the idea! There are so many fun designs that inspire me to make some really cute animals! One of my favorites that I make are penguin plushies! And fun fact, any penguin plushie I make in pastel colors are known as "Snow Balls"!~
